  • The Vacuum Anchor is a unique Patent Pending portable fall arrest anchor that enables mechanics in the aircraft industry to work safely on the wings, fuselage, and tail sections of planes Versatile and portable system can be used inside or outside the hangar without the need for fixed overhead lines that just get in the way Meets OSHA’s fall arrest requirements for anchors, and is approved for use on Boeing and Airbus aircraft. Planes are designed to land on the tarmac - you weren’t! The unique Vacuum Anchor system was designed with mechanics for mechanics. The convenient carrying handle and lightweight design allows simple installation. The vacuum anchor operates on single phase 115 volt electrical supply so no special outlets are needed. Once plugged in, simply turn the switch on and the motor (pump) starts running activating the red warning lights and alarms. Then, pressurize the pads by simply turning a knob, once the green light is activated your ready to hook-up.The design and ease of use with this vacuum anchor will give you maximum safety wherever you need to work. Once installed, and the green light has been activated, simply attach DBI/SALA’s Force2™ shock absorbing lanyard (model# 1225006) to the D-ring on the pads and to the back of your harness and you’re protected – free to perform your maintenance and servicing duties safely! Configure as a horizontal lifeline system for added versatility and maneuverability.

For removal, simply depressurize the pads by turning a knob and relocate using the convenient carrying handle. Storage options include a mobile cart with lockable wheels or pelican cases. The rugged cart is designed for all of your work areas, complete with storage compartments for paperwork, tools and your personal fall arrest system components. The system is completely reusable and transportable from one work area to another. The vacuum anchor pads swivel to fit most flat or curved surfaces offering greater flexibility from plane to plane.
